Surfin Safari!

Downtown St. Joe is filled with safari animals! Around every corner you can find hippos, llamas, tigers, lions, elephants, and all other sorts of animals. Each animal has a different theme too. Tommy was a little scared at first, but then loved to pet the animals and even ride on some of them. Here are a few pictures of our favorite animals.

Fun with Daddy

Jenna and Mike have a hot tub...well, they don't always use it as a hot tub, but rather a pool for the kids. The kids had a great time in it last weekend. I caught a few cute pictures of Chris and Tommy together.

A New Baby Cousin!

Long time no blog! We can thank Tommy for that! Our computer has been in the shop for a week because Tommy broke the charger. Don't worry though we have been taking pictures and videos during that time and will add them to the blog.

Jenna and Mike welcomed their third child on May 27th. Tessa Rose was born just before midnight. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. She resembles Charlie and Mallory a lot. Charlie is so excited to bring baby Tessa home. He loves to hold her and was telling her all about her new home. Mallory, however, could have cared less about her! She'll adjust in time. Tommy was also in love with Tessa. He held her and always wanted to be close to her. This gave me great joy to see since we will be welcoming our second baby home around Thanksgiving!

Tommy being Tommy...Again!

While getting dressed the other day, Tommy just thought it was hilarious to keep his shirt over his head and bite down on the collar. He couldn't stop laughing at himself...such a comedian!

Baseball Star

Tommy has really been into playing baseball outside. He will not let either of us help him learn how to hit the ball so what you see is all self taught. In fact, whenever I do try and help him and says "Mommy, go sit down!" Here is a video of him playing.

Another Beach Day!

Tommy so enjoys spending time on the beach. We have so many beaches around us that we have been beach exploring the past few weekends. We found a great beach on Friday called Weko Beach, not too far from our house. So we got some ice cream and spent the afternoon on the beach. Tommy had a great time throwing rocks in the water. He is now trying to skip rocks. He has the right idea, just no luck yet. Keep trying, Tommy!

Happy Mother's Day!

A MOTHER'S LOVE

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

Bubble Bath!

Tommy loves taking bubble baths! He reminds us nightly that he would like a bubble bath. Tommy usually put bubbles all over himself and Chris usually comes out of the bathroom with bubbles all over his head!

Tommy and Mac

Since the day we brought Tommy home, Mac and Tommy have been best friends. During the day I sometimes catch them hugging and Mac giving Tommy a kiss on his nose. Mac loves to come into Tommy's room in the morning and "wake" him up. He will usually stick his big nose right through the crib. If Tommy is ever laying on the ground Mac usually finds him and attacks him with kisses. This usually gets Tommy laughing so hard, he get the hiccups. Tommy has to end his day by giving Mac a hug and a kiss and saying "wud you, Mac." Lately, Tommy has enjoyed playing tug of war with Mac. Mac is a very strong dog, but also enjoys playing this with Tommy and knows to be a bit gentler with him. Here's a quick video of them playing together.

Wedding Weekend

This past weekend our good friends Breeyan and Matt were married at Notre Dame. Our friends Chuck and Meg brought their two daughters to the wedding so we brought Tommy too! Tommy had a blast at the church. He entertained everyone around us. Somehow he always started talking when everyone else was quiet! He loved to sing with the cantor, except he would sing "hot mama, hot dada," instead of the correct words to the song. He said all the bridesmaids were "pretty girls!" Here are a few pictures from the big day.

Beach Day!

We had beautiful weather on Sunday so we decided to head to the beach for the afternoon. Tommy had fun throwing rocks in the water, it's one of his favorite things to do. We are looking forward to this summer when we can spend many days on the beach!

Shaving

Tommy loves to imitate just about everything. He's been following me into the bathroom doing this shaving bit for a while. This is the first time we caught it on camera.
