Character Dinner

We took Tommy to a character dinner at Epcot one night. He LOVED it! He always wanted the characters to sit down and eat with him. The highlight of the evening though was dessert. They served Tommy "dirt." This consisted of chocolate pudding with crushed up oreos and gummy worms on top. Now, Tommy loves all these ingredients alone, however, I kept telling him it was dirt and he really thought it was real dirt. He was laughing hysterically and ended up spitting most of the pudding out, quite a mess! Oh well, he had fun and we were amused!

Hotel Toy Story

On vacation, we brought some of Tommy's stuffed animals from home. To our surprise, everyday, the cleaning lady would put Tommy's guys in different situations in our room. For instance, one day we came back to see them all in cuddled on the bed, holding the TV remote and watching the Disney channel! Tommy loved coming back to see where his guys would be, in fact, Chris and I would get excited too to see where they would be placed. Here are some pictures of how we found them.

Disney World Characters!

We just got back from our first family vacation to Disney World! Tommy had a blast, in fact, we all had a blast. His favorite thing to do was to meet all the characters and get their autographs. The other day, we were downstairs playing and I put on some music from our computer. We have quite a collection on the computer. Tommy didn't pay much attention to the music until the Nelly song Shake Ya Tailfeathers came on. He went nuts. He loves to dance to it! So, I made a CD for him with the music he liked, it included this song, Born in the USA, and Good Vibrations. What a collection of songs! Anyways, here Tommy is showing off his latest dance moves. Oh and excuse the laundry in the background....never ending pile!

Summer has Arrived!

It's been hard to keep up with the blog lately, it seems like time flies in the summer! Finally warm temperatures have hit Michigan. We spent part of Father's Day weekend at the beach. We had perfect weather! Tommy even went into the lake...it's still a little cold, but he didn't seem to mind too much! Enjoy the pictures and happy summer!

It's strawberry season! Tommy and his friend, Siena, had a great time picking strawberries. I think more strawberries ended up in Tommy's mouth than our basket! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Fire House Visit!

Today we went to visit the local Fire Station. Tommy was a bit nervous at first around the big trucks. He kept thinking they were going to turn on and make loud noise. After being there for awhile though, he started to warm up and actually got onto a fire truck for a few seconds! He was more comfortable sitting in the little jeep! He had fun anyways.

Curious Kids Museum

Another rainy day in Michigan equals Curious Kids Museum! This museum has been a lifesaver this past winter and cold and rainy spring. I usually forget my camera, but this visit I remembered! There are many fun rooms at the museum. Tommy loves to play in the farm room where he can play in the water pond and ride tractors. He also loves riding the fire truck. There is also a dinosaur room where there is a volcano slide. Tommy is usually scared of this because the volcano erupts about every minute. Usually he is climbing up the slide and all of a sudden lights flash and you hear the sound of thunder. Tommy then comes running down the stairs! Today, however, he was very brave and went down the slide! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Birthday Party Fun!

Tommy went to a birthday party this past weekend and had a blast! The family rented a bouncy house which was a huge hit and had tractor rides too! Tommy is in love with tractors right now, but was too scared to ride one. It was funny because all the girls rode on the tractor and the boys just sat and watched!

Fun With Babi

Babi, pronounced Bubby, is my 93 year old grandmother. She doesn't let her age get in the way of playing with her great grandchildren. She was even kicking the soccer ball around with Tommy! Here are some pictures of Tommy and Babi playing together.

Slip and Slide!

Now that warmer temperatures have finally arrived in Michigan, it was definitely time to get out the slip and slide! The kids didn't quite get the slide part, but had a lot of fun splashing in the water anyways!
